It makes me laugh - I think if i had a supervisor on my flight - I would step past the exit row and bust into CIARA and start singing "wait - wait a minute" ooohhhh i am not supposed to be here - punish me baby - just one more time... and then roll my eyes and laugh. Then continue on my merry way to the rear of the aircraft after busting into - I'm bringing sexyback - MORONS!!!!
I know her and my guess is NO!But can you sing Sexyback in tune... 😛
First off the union did not agree to anything and if you worked at HP long enough the council can only make reccomendations on procedures. The company does not call the office and say "Hey is like okay if we do this BS procedure.. do you mind.. we want input?" Its like this. The company comes up with some assbackward way of doing something.. we call the union and complain.. and there begins the fight.I certainly hope so! We hate this crap that they implemented on us and our union agreed to this stupid procedure. One of our flight attendant who was a flight attendant a month got suspended (because the company wanted to set an example). He's a great flight attendant who always works first class and always helps out in the main cabin by doing coffee and tea service. He goes above and beyond, but the company punished him anyway because he went passed over wing. I hope they change it because the service suffers.
All this strong arm attitude comes from the director of inflight Anthony Mule. Hes a real jerk and strongly believes its his way or the highway. Flight Attendants on the west side AVOID the inflight supervisors because they are only out to punish you for every little thing they can do to make sure something negative goes in your file. I have NEVER had any positive communications from that department in all my 23 years at America West(now US Airways). Everyone in that department comes off as your friend. I'm here to help you, were all for you...blah,blah,blah.... But call in sick, have a health problem, need a personal day, some compassion for your situation ......GOOD LUCK!!!!!! There all idots!!!!First off the union did not agree to anything and if you worked at HP long enough the council can only make reccomendations on procedures. I would not mind this rule if it had a PURPOSE! But it's just silly. Rules just to have Rules need to go!The west policy is that one flight attendant must remain in the FWD cabin at all times, the fwd cabin being defined as f/c to overwing on A320,A319,B737, an cabins A&B on the B757. One flight attendant must be in that area at all times. So if you are first trying to help the main pick up trash you can not step one row past the exit row to collect grabage. Then you get a dirty look from that person waiving their crap 3 rows past the exit row.
I love that analogy!<SNIP> We have had sooo many things in the past that the company tried to implement and it flew like the spruce goose, for a brief minute.
It does: a 110 pound female in heels as the last line of protection for a poor, defenseless KEVLAR door.I would not mind this rule if it had a PURPOSE!
