Well, I go back to the REAL Continental. It has to be with NO DOUBT, the DC10-30 PUB Aircraft. Too bad they pulled the Pubs out and put seat in. Great Great Aircraft!!!

we ran the pub out of hieneken one flight, we got stuck in a holding pattern at den.
Its been along time but weren't the -30's 050 #'s and the -10's were 040 #s
oh how i miss the midnight "patio parties" NOT
Grew up working on the 727's but now love the 757's

Well, I go back to the REAL Continental. It has to be with NO DOUBT, ...
a difficult decision.

I would say this one:
The first plane I ever rode in. I remember after takeoff the pilot asked if there were any kids that wanted to come up and look out the front. There were two other kids on the flight, but I was the first to the front. Everything was exciting! My grandfather says that about half way through the flight he asked the stewardess if I could go out and play on the wing, but I don’t remember that part.

Or maybe this one:
I was a year older and considerably quieter when I rode on this than on my first flight. I think my mom had me counting red cars, or something like that. A little before descent the stewardess asked me if I wanted to pass gum out to everyone, which I did. She gave me a whole box of gum “for helpingâ€￾ when we got off.

This was the first jet aircraft I got to ride in:
and here.
I found it very odd that we didn’t have to stop and warm the engines up before we took off. We just taxied to the runway and left. This one also had a cockpit door that was closed during takeoff and landing, but they did open it during cruise and let the kids come up and see. I remember liking the DC-7 better; you could see what was on the ground better, the cockpit was more interesting, and you got gum!

Of course, this one is interesting:

AGREE completely...........The Pub! Continental runs a pretty good operation Today but back in the day "The Proud With the Golden Tail" was a class in its own. Those were the days. I remember the Piano Bars on AA and the credenzas filled with snacks and such. Flying back then was A TREAT........Today in no uncertain terms is a PITA!

Well I can still hear that commercial, "....at Continental Airlines we really move our tail for you!!" and who can forget the Proud bird with the Golden TAil!
If its a wide body Continental had the best looking DC-10 period! Narrow body, hass to be the three holer!! I catered many of those planes while attending A & P school. Some of my fondest memories were back in the days when Continental was big in Denver just being around those magnificent machines and the smell of burning Jet A from th APUs didn't get any better!

As a Continental Flight Attendant, our easiet and best plane to work is the 767-200. It's so small and so big at the sametime. The AFT galley is huge and there are no lavs back there, so we never have to worry about strap hangers and LAV lines. The plane Domestically is staffed with 6/7 F/A's and there is only 174 seats on the entire jet. The pax to F/A ratio is wonderful, and there are alot of LAV's and there is that huge lav in the middle. It will be a sad day when we retire those jet's. I love the sister jet to, the 76-400, great staffing and lot's of work space.

The 757-200 is a great pleasure to work also. Since they put on the PTV's, that is about the only thing that can be a pain to work during the flight. The 757-300 *when* staffed with 6 instead of just 5 is also very easy to work. Nice plane, great lav set up, and there is plenty of room to stretch, and stand without being bothersome by the 3 lav's in the back.

I don't really care for the 737-800, except for the one with the mid-cabin lav. It's almost like working the 757-200. The other 800's have to many seat's and not enough lav's, and also have no place to stand or stretch for a few mintue's. The new 900's are ok and will be great when the get the Live TV, the old 900 aircraft set-up was really nice, but it's almost a complete thing of the past. The only 737 I really love is the 700, 12/112, great aft galley, closet space, love the drop down tv's, comfy seats for pax. The 300 is a nightmare, and is only partly better if you get one of the few with the old CRT/Sony system onboard.

I like the 777 and it's very nice to work, when it's not full. It just has to many Business/First seats for my liking. Alot there is ton 's of space and actualy crew rest area's, this plane only travel's to a handful of place's I like working to.

All time favorite -- DC-10-10 with "The Pub", best way to fly from LAX to HNL, especially if you are non-revving and had a seat in first class. Former CAL, now at Boeing...

That was actually the series 10 DC-10 (acft. 041 through 056) that had the pubs behind first class - I don't recall Bobby Bird and Dicky Bird having pubs, but I could be wrong....

All time favorite is the DC 10 with the PUB...no jet can compare to how spacious ans how great a ride it was.
