It was at DFW yesterday for some fundraiser or something like that. Nice takeoff getting out of here, got it off the ground and kept it real low until it was south of the terminals.
I had the pleasure seeing this great plane in Osh Kosh. It really is a beautiful piece of history. Got some great night shots of it too which I'm waiting to get back still. It's great to see this plane among the many others like it. Delta's museum at their HQ in Atlanta and the Unofficial, official TWA museum in KC have some great oldies but goodies as well. The Delta one is harder to see as it is housed on HQ property which is a secure area. This piece running on MSNBC right now is a pretty cool rundown of what's out there:
I was fortanate enough to see her up close recently. Like any Douglas product not a wrinkle on her. In fact they keep that thing so clean it looks like she just came off the production line in Santa Monica.
