This illustrates why everyone needs to go through the same security before boarding a plane -- crew and passengers. All it takes is one person to cause a major disruption. Luckily this was not a big deal but easily could have been.
Unfortunately there are many with mental health issues
that should not be flying. But unfortunately nobody cares
here.
Kindly explain how the crew going through the same screening as passengers would have prevented the FA's rant. Does the TSA's nekkid scanner show what's going on in a person's mind, also? This illustrates why everyone needs to go through the same security before boarding a plane -- crew and passengers. I feel sorry for her too. If a supermarket checkout girl had flipped out it wouldn't have made the local papers, much less the entire country. Anything that happens on an airplane seems to be news.I feel very sorry for what has happened to this flight attendant. I believe this is a perfect example of what happens after endless years of stress that I presume to be related to unsatisfactory working conditions and going as far as being subjected to a mobbing atmosphere.
buh...bye!!If I were a passenger on that plane I would never fly AA ever again...I will never even ZED on AA
Good if you think that this is cut and dried incident then you are not needed. These people work hard and things happen. Are you never flying AA because one Flight attendant went over a little or would you rather it had been a pilot, then you probably would not fly any airline again......If I were a passenger on that plane I would never fly AA ever again...I will never even ZED on AA
It's never because of one flight attendant. There will be more. Stay tuned.........Good if you think that this is cut and dried incident then you are not needed. If you are never going to fly AA again then there is no need to post here any longer.
Wow, do I really work with some of you? Really? Yes, there may have been some mental issues, but does anyone go to work planning to have a breakdown? Stress does acerbate whatever may have been going on in her life, physically, mentally. Yet, the degree of insensitivity towards a fellow coworker/ human being is unbelievable. Moderator, you may remove me forever on here if you wish, but those of you who made comments about her are a bunch of insensitive assholes. Let's hope this never happens to you, your suppose, your child, sibling or parent, or maybe God r Karma, whatever you blive in will allow exactly that...it is only fitting for your idiocy.

Ok, you fly with her. Several passengers have said in the press that the f/a told them she is bipolar but doesn't take the medication. Bipolar disorder is a highly treatable condition. All it requires is cooperation from the patient to take their medication on a regular basis. However, if she chooses to not take the medication, she is a danger to herself and others. And, it is a choice. One of my dearest friends has had bipolar disorder for years and takes the medication on a daily basis. He tells me that bipolar patients quit taking the medication because the high you get from not taking it is better than any drug. She wants to get a drug like high. There is a point at which compassion and patient rights and safety clash. I don't want her driving vehicles on the same freeways with me in that condition, either.Wow, do I really work with some of you? Really? Jim, it that is the case, you are correct, she should be removed from flying status. But what I am saying is no one hear actually know what occurred. Do you know for a fact that she said what they claim? Or even if she said that, that is is factual? Instead of being compassionate on here, she has been demonized. As far as taking her meds...we don't know anything! I know a few who are "diagnosed" bipolar and it is very different from what i saw on that video. I am not a physician and I will not venture to diagnose. The one thing I can guarantee is that her intentions that day were not to have what happened occur. And since this could be us or anyone close to us we should shut-up. There is no difference between mental disease, or myocardial infarctios, grand mal seizures, strokes, etcetera...Would we be snickering and sniping if one of the prior had happened? And let's say she was on meds and did not take them... Do you know her circumstances? Was it willfull not taking them? Or is she on reserve and has been reassigned, forgot them, and hasn't been able to get to them. Honestly, it does not matter. We should keep our mouth shuts and support her and each other as we should. It is the kind compassionate things to do. And yes, I would gladly fly with her.Ok, you fly with her. As I said, I would be willing to bet you this is the same one who has been fired twice before for telling F/C passengers to go F themselves. Both times she has gotten her job back by agreeing to take the medication and then stops it as soon as she thinks no one is watching her. Feel free to transfer here to DFW and buddy bid with her.
I get so tired of hearing that crap. That's how we got here, managment will not act when they need too. It's always the union will not allow it. What did we write the contrary and force the company to sign? Do your job and manage already!
