Flying Fuzz

magseal: having the opportunity to fly with many law enforcement agencies, and having our equipment installed on a majority of north american law enforcement agencies, trust me, i have yet to see anyone go on patrol with auto pilot, let alone having it installed in the first place.

I have obviously read about it. It's obviously a costly option.
I looked hard for the actual article I seem to remember reading it from, but can't find it. All I found was a short blip about NYPD and their Koala and they refer to SAS and ATT, but that's not the article I'm thinking of. Something about Tampa or the LAPD is ringing in my head.....I wish there was a disease that made you remember things instead of forget.

I thought the RCMP had auto pilot installed in their B3's

elvis: i believe you are correct on the rcmp autopilot, makes for big headache when installing flir / nightsun etc as the servos are invariably exactly where you want to put your jbox / ecu / cables / mounts. not sure how much they use it, great thing to have if you have the money / extra shp and amperage. not sure on the koala, flew a bunch with penn state a couple of weeks back and cannot remember if they had it or not, to busy tuning the flir.
