Just wondering what DALPA has for a fragment clause in their contract?

fragment away. If we merge with USAir, the Delta pilots are f**ked anyway. So whether we merge with USAir or are fragmented, really doesn't matter to me either way.
To borrow prose from Gomer Pyle:
Negative, negative, negative.
Why does a scenario with USAirways have to be a negative outcome? Why can't you and others who share your outlook think positive?
And may I ask why you would be? I would imagine that all of the DL pilots would be protected on their current equipment for quite some time. If your contract is the surviving one, which it should be what will you all lose?fragment away. If we merge with USAir, the Delta pilots are f**ked anyway. Leaving DL's stand-alone plan aside for a moment, can anyone name another merger partner for DL where the DOJ could require more asset divestures than a US/DL merger? You can start with the Shuttle operations.....
Jim
Question #2 - which network carrier has extra airplanes sitting around unused to start up a shuttle operation?
Bonus question #3 - with Parker's merger plan calling for getting rid of 15% of the US fleet, why would any US pilot be in favor of this merger?
Jim
I must once again ask, what exactly are the major fears of the DL pilot group? I understand that the Shuttle operation would have to go, but does that require that DL pilots and/or A/C must go with it? Assests could be nothing more than gates and slots. Can't the A/C and crews be used on other routes which may include some new ones?
If AA or anyone else buys the Shuttle, they may use their own A/C and crews to operate them, correct....I am not trying to be a buster here, just looking for some reasonalbe answers.....
You're thinking of seniority lists and who stays/goes. We at Delta are thinking of the business. It makes NO business sense for this merger to go through b/c it adds significantly to the debt...
B) B) B) They along with their f/a's are scared shi$$less because they screwed everybody in their past mergers. Bad KARMA- what goes around comes around. DAL F/A's WILL NEVER , EVER GET their senority from UAL or NWA. So remember this is what alot of this is all about, and the fact that they actually BELIEVE they have a say in what happens LOLOL...And may I ask why you would be? As I have stated before, a relative of mine was with DL for many years and I don't recall them telling me of any
Northeast or Western pilots that were severly screwed. Do you guys even know what you are afraid of with US, or is it just because Gerry tells you to be??

Care to back up your LIES with cold hard facts? Unless you can-anything you say is completely irrelevant. We've only merged with Chicago & Southern, Northeast, and Western. They all got raises with their seniority-and I never heard any of them complaining. We bought Pan Am ASSETS, and offered SOME of their F/A's jobs. Even they got SOME seniority, which I believe is better than being unemployed. And, I'm sorry you are too dense to understand this, because it's been talked about ad nauseum, but AFA bylaws state DATE OF HIRE. So, get off the DL board, and go spew your negativity soemwhere else. We don't need it here!
