And what is the aim of this?
I would think that an Union, or any professional organization, would have a goal with every action taken. Some kind of concrete obective to accomplish.
I just don't get this parody. Was it to make the writer(s) of the "letter of charge" feel better in face of total powerlessness?
This is right out of the "Bomb Throwing School" of lets make trouble for the sake of it. Like, we ran out of ideas, so lets stick-it-to-them somehow.
I mean, was there a group of friends seating around drinking a glass of sauvignon blanc, and after a few to many, this brilliant idea popped up?
What's the purpose?

This is a new low for the AFA. Instead of negotiating a new retirement plan for their members (like every other group on the property), they waste their time with this crap. I would especially like to know what kind of evidence the AFA has in response to the "Fighting on company property" charge! Is causing a fight between employees against company regs? Like a Don King for the staff? :)

I thought this kangaroo court would have more common sense than to blame the ills of our situation on our CEO. This is an endemic perception to blame the boss for not controlling dynamics which are uncontrollable.
I never knew a CEO that was ‘blessed’ by unions that was not later indemnified!
The ‘Unions’ refuted Edwards because he did not adhere to their politicks then kicked out Goodwin for telling the truth. Tilton is taking a tremendous (unjustifiable) thrashing and changing dance partners will not end the dance.

What the BOD needs to do is kick out the Union figure heads then reject themselves for being stupid!!!

JMHO,

And they seem surprised that the UAL flight attendants have been actively trying to decertify AFA.

stupid stupid stupid. These people need to cut the grade school antics, grow up and get a life. What morons.

No one takes UAL AFA seriously - the union's MEC is all bark, no bite, and without a clue.

Your right. you'd think all that BS about CHAOS and the saber-rattiling of striking would come thru. but no.

unlike the Dutch workers that struck their country. trash collection and public transporation were affected.

Dutch railway workers to strike at end of month.

SO UAL AFA got any nad's to strike UAL? rotflmao!!!!!!!!!!!!

UAL AFA made a fatal error when they started threatening CHAOS action without a proper strike vote from the flight attendants. Now they are really stuck because they can't possibly strike because a CHAOS action requires f/a's to target specific flights (and then lose their job for the sake of the membership). A vote was taken last December to strike over our potential new contract but UAL AFA has now applied that vote to our pensions. HELLO AFA, most flight attendants never thought about nor counted much on those meager pensions anyway.

No one I've spoken to is willing to lose their job permanently just to save face for a union that has done nothing but abuse the UAL f/a's so they can increase their membership with other carriers. (Heed the warning Delta.....they are NOT worth the monthly dues)

Just a slight difference in labor culture over there compared to here. Have you had any luck calling a nationwide strike in the good ole US of A?

I didn't think so.
