I know you will have no problems getting a 580 member to step up....A petition was passed around for 580 members to sign for a vote. And I beieve over a 1000 signed this.
Please pass on to me or post any info.

There will be no law suit against the NMB.

Unfortunately, the IAM iron clad judge bankrupt contract will stay in force and many more workers will lose their jobs. It's in the agreement and it's non negotiable.

Although I will not participate in a union signup by the IBT, it appears the earliest signup would be January. The TWU/IAM agreed to bar any vote for one year implicitly by agreeing to withdraw.

Why are you posting complete false information and lies?

The IAM and the former TWU Reps will sit down with US and negotiate a transition agreement with US, I have informed you of this numerous times yet you continue to post complete false infomation.

Every single merger where transition agreements have been negotiated at US there have always been improvements, since you have never been involved you don't know, so I informed you many many times. Everything in a transition agreement is negotiable, why are you lying once again?

Stop the bs, infighting and lies and let the active ramp employees unite to get the best agreement they can.

You are not Mrs Cleo, you do not know if anyone will lose their job, the IAM will insist the HP stations be grandfathered and no one should lose thier job.

But since you cant be in a position of power you would rather spread hate and discontent, instead of letting the active fleet service employees get the best agreement they can.

I am not employed by the IAM nor do I recieve any money from them.

If you are going to make statements about that, back it up, otherwise move and stay on topic, the thread is about FSE and Changes, not about 700UW.

I would advise everyone to lay off each other and stick to the topic at hand. Those that continue this trend on this topic, or any other for that matter; can enjoy the banter from the sidelines.
 
You know I really am getting tired of Tims misinformation just to make him happy. As far as any of the small HP stations and agents losing there jobs its just flat wrong.
Many stations especially combind stations such as DFW and ORD are actually adding fleet agents. DEN also is another station that will need agents. There are going to be many options out there for all. In case you havent read the paper latley our company has a strong finanicial sheet now.
While all of us out here know that the contract we got has a lot of bad parts this is our chance to make some good changes to it with the transistion agreement. What we need is soladarity with the union we have and make it stronger.
The IBT needs to mind ther own business and quit trying to steal our members.
For all you 580 members go to the IAM 141 site make your voice heard on what you want go to the meetings and together we can make this a great company and union.
 
Geeze, all the threats of possible lawsuits involving top law firms. Isn't this the same threat made when ALPA's GAG had to take their toys and go home? Any relation to a certain pilot? Keep spreading that FUD.

NMB rules bar another union from filing to have an election for 1 year after TWU filed/withdrew. Janurary would probly be a good time to start a campaign to get representation for Fleet Service workers.

The TA can incorporate the terms of both existing collective bargaining agreements, as the company has agreed to them in the prior negotiations. New stuff would be come under "bad faith bargaining" and would be disallowed until the existing agreement expires. The vacation/doubletime/sick pay issues are all economic, as is the subcontracting issues. My guess is the US Airways is not going to be very keen on spending more to the venues where they did not have these to pay for these things before. That's where I would guess TWU members are going to take a little hit, but I would give up some of that to grandfather the no subcontracting issue.
 
New things can be negotiated in a transition agreement, there is not a law that forbids it, just both sides have to agree to it.
 
question here: when the East contract is to be negogiated, what are the chances of getting the outsourced cities back? Also heard yesterday that GSO is going back to mainline. is that true?
 
My undestandings is intentions, and violations may have come into play, but that's for the courts to decide IF THERE IS A SUIT. IMO, you may be right 700. Time will tell. All I'm saying is a 'top firm' may want to give em hell and see what comes up. At this time they have not decided to file it.

I also need a TWU represented member to contact me if they may be needed as a party to this suit to help secure the election. Contact me through US AVIATION. If I think I know where this is headed then it may fuel the fire to have a TWU worker from PHX or elsewhere who wants to be a part of this suit, if it goes forward. The firm already knows they can use me but others, especially TWU folk may be asked on.


Again, dunno about some of these things yet but if they give the go ahead then look for things to take an interesting twist.
