Glo-Bull Warming and Science

So it sounds like Oklahoma may need some sort of regulation on how "crap wastewater" is disposed of instead of blaming it on fracking.
They didn't blame it on Fracking. They blamed it on the oil and gas industry practices. Are you calling for stricter regulations on the oil and gas industry?

Regulation in itself is not a bad thing. Over regulation is.

I do believe the whole energy industry is way over regulated. But saying that, I feel you can't just blanket remove them. But Trump says he wants to reduce the size of the EPA drastically..

Yes... Clean air and water doesn't make anybody any money. Screw our kids...we'll all be dead soon anyways. Let's just roll back all kinds of regulations. Maybe the Rose Garden can smell like Gary Indiana.

You have to try an achieve a balance here. Over regulation is just as bad, and has become, more so, in many cases, than not enough. One of the reasons Hillary bombed out was when she put her foot in her mouth and bragged how she was going to put all those coal miners out of work. You have to balance the effects of regulation on the environment, verses the economic consequences of that regulation real time, in the real world....... Or is that a concept you just don't understand?

OIl companies have posted record profits....gas prices are pretty low, and most of the higher prices were caused by speculators, not a lack of drilling. And we've had environmental protections in place for all that time. I'm not willing to trade MY clean air for increased "shareholder value" for owners of oil company stock.

Thank you for proving my point. How much smog will you find acceptable in the air in YOUR neighborhood. China is running rings around us and doesn't have these pesky EPA regs. Here's the Bejing morning commute:

Mmmmm...smells like prosperity. Makes me kind of thirsty....how about a drink:

Notice I didn't mention global warming. Now...give me your case on why the above pictures are GOOD for America? Extra credit if you can argue FOR polluting aquifers.

What's your point showing Los Angeles and Flint, Michigan?

I'll use a big word you might not understand...."aquifer". IT's undergroud water....you know, where they store the rancid fracking residue, and in Florida, nuclear leftovers. We have an aquifer that pretty much is responsible for the Kansas economy....The Ogalala aquifer. It also supplies water to Nebraska, Colorado, Oklahoma and Texas. And if that water gets polluted because of "leftovers" from fracking or from seepage from a pipeline, it will not be a good thing for the country. You think it's bad when gasoline is over $3 a gallon...just wait until potable water becomes in short supply.

Stop reading Mother Goose or whatever that libtard M-Fer publication is!

Move away from the 60s since the world has evolved for the better and advanced in environmental issues. Why do you care what profits the oil companies make, how many employees does your dimwit company employ??? Guess what? We will be drilling American oil fields and profiting from that rather than pumping money to the Saudis who are the real MONEY MAKERS from oil. Don't worry we won't destroy your air or water, because unlike you we no longer live in the stone age and must MAGA!

I asked if you understood the concept? Obviously you do not! But than again, you are from Kansas. Who said anything about doing away with the E.P.A.? Scaling it back, maybe, but not totally doing away with it. Again, you are blindsided by all that "Liberal propaganda." Reality check here!....... If you want your clean air in Kansas, you'll have to do something about all those cows farting, which has nothing to do with the "oil companies"!!! Now would that fall under E.P.A. regulations?...... Humm, I don't know!

Actually, Kansas is more wheat that beef. Wheat doesn't really have an odor. My ex father in law was a chemical engineer and worked in wastewater treatment. He was concerned about the levels of atrazine that he was seeing in water samples. He was quite concerned about it. Europe banned it in 2004...my father in law was expressing concerns about it before that. Now EPA regs are about to severely restrict, if not ban it in the US. It causes birth defects and cancer. It pollutes rivers, streams, groundwater (like that aquifer I was talking about) and your drinking water. This was done under Obama. How soon do you think the executive order reversing any decisions will be issued by the great leader (I use great leader because Trump and Kim Jong Un have so much in common).
