The Krakatoa eruption lowered global temperatures by < 2.0 F. By comparison, warming trend from 1850-2011 raised temperatures only 0.7 F.

Actually they were lowered by 1.0F, but with Tambora they were lowered 2 during the 1800.

The question is not that they are doing it the question is why and is a purely natural event? Indications are that it is not a natural occurrence.

Duh......migration for food supply is a natural given, man been doing it for a very long time and sometimes due to climatic changes like ice sheets 5 miles thick........cooler waters supporting rich ecosystems tend to draw visitors.

Gore Wants You to Eat Less Meat

Former Vice-President Al Gore wants everybody to eschew meat-heavy diets and get with organic fare to combat global warming, according to a report by Politico.

"Industrial agriculture is a part of the problem,” Gore said Friday during an interview. “The shift toward a more meat-intensive diet” dictates the clearing of forest areas in many parts of the world in order to raise more cattle and the reliance on synthetic nitrogen for fertilizer, he advised.

RATES of mental illnesses including depression and post-traumatic stress will increase as a result of climate change, a report to be released today says.
The paper, prepared for the Climate Institute, says loss of social cohesion in the wake of severe weather events related to climate change could be linked to increased rates of anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress and substance abuse.

Note that he did not state why it is happening just that it is the fudging of some numbers by one report not with standing. He also pointed out that the reduction of CO2 emissions would make sense.

This method helped one scientist reduce the cooling in the northern hemisphere between 1940 and 1970, so that he did not have to make up an excuse blaming it on sulphates, which could not be proven. Another complains that no matter how much he fiddles with the data, it is “very difficult to make the Medieval Warming Period go away.” Solving this problem in the modern era was much easier: The warmists merely changed the temperature readings for much of the 20th century and threw away the original data.

What is even more troubling is what appears to be the active collusion of government agencies charged with looking out for the public welfare. In one Jones e-mail, he discusses hiding data, making it clear that the U.S. Department of Energy was an active participant in his fraud: “Any work we have done in the past is done on the back of the research grants we get — and has to be well hidden. I’ve discussed this with the main funder (US Dept of Energy) in the past and they are happy about not releasing the original station data.” I hope someone in Congress is interested in why the Department of Energy was involved in hiding climate data. One might assume that it would be harder to make an investment in Solyndra if the global-warming threat was proven a fraud.

My favorite quote of all those uncovered was from the climate criminal who asked his colleagues what would happen to them if it was discovered that climate change was “mainly a multidecadal natural fluctuation,” as much of the evidence shows. He answers his own question: “They’ll kill us probably.”

NASA accused of promoting gay climate change agenda

The National Aeronautical Space Administration is facing the heat from Republicans who accuse it of pushing a pro-gay climate change agenda by adding the color hot pink to its global climate maps. NASA made the change because of unusually warm weather in the arctic.

“I can handle a variety of colors. We tolerated their use of yellow and a couple of blue-purple knockoffs that I don’t even know the names of, even lime green is ok in moderation, but now this agency has gone too far,” said Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn). “First NASA tried to shove climate change down our throats. Now they’re using it to push acceptance of the homosexual lifestyle.”

Rep. Joe Barton (R-Tex) accused NASA of using the climate change issue to promote a “homosexual agenda” of a clean environment, conservation and renewable energy. Barton noted that pictures of the arctic were all white, with not a bit of pink, which he said proved NASA’s new maps were invalid.

Second, they say that most of the warming of the last 50 years is probably due to humans. You need to know that this is from carbon dioxide, and you need to understand which technologies can reduce this and which can't. Roughly 1 degree Fahrenheit of global warming has taken place; we're responsible for one quarter of it. If we cut back so we don't cause any more, global warming will be delayed by three years and keep on going up. And now the developing world is producing most of the carbon dioxide.

What’s different, and why everyone from opinion columnists to “The Daily Show” is paying attention is who is behind the study.

One-quarter of the $600,000 to do the research came from the Charles Koch Foundation, whose founder is a major funder of skeptic groups and the tea party. The Koch brothers, Charles and David, run a large privately held company involved in oil and other industries, producing sizable greenhouse gas emissions.

Muller’s research team carefully examined two chief criticisms by skeptics. One is that weather stations are unreliable; the other is that cities, which create heat islands, were skewing the temperature analysis.

Some of the most noted scientific skeptics are no longer saying the world isn’t warming. Instead, they question how much of it is man-made, view it as less a threat and argue it’s too expensive to do something about, Otto said.

In a brief email statement, the Koch Foundation noted that Muller‘s team didn’t examine ocean temperature or the cause of warming and said it will continue to fund such research. “The project is ongoing and entering peer review, and we’re proud to support this strong, transparent research,” said foundation spokeswoman Tonya Mullins.

Are your tax dollars helping hide global warming data from the public? Internal emails leaked as part of “Climategate 2.0” indicate the answer may be "Yes.

Making that case in 2009, the then-head of the Research Unit, Dr. Phil Jones, told colleagues repeatedly that the U.S. Department of Energy was funding his data collection -- and that officials there agreed that he should not have to release the data.

“Work on the land station data has been funded by the U.S. Dept of Energy, and I have their agreement that the data needn’t be passed on. I got this [agreement] in 2007,” Jones wrote in a May 13, 2009, email to British officials, before listing reasons he did not want them to release data.

Two months later, Jones reiterated that sentiment to colleagues, saying that the data "has to be well hidden. I’ve discussed this with the main funder (U.S. Dept of Energy) in the past and they are happy about not releasing the original station data.”

A third email from Jones written in 2007 echoes the idea: "They are happy with me not passing on the station data," he wrote.

"The fact that they are trying to keep people from replicating their studies -- that's the issue," Watts noted. "Replication is the most important tenet of science."
