The poster made the inference to everyone that the article (since it was in the AJC) was referring to DAL only. The article was for the industry in general.

I don't think the poster made that inference at all. YOU gleaned that inference from your defensive stance and your self-centric view that all civil aviation articles in the AJC are about Delta only.
It is clear all over the article, including the title, that it was generic in its reference to "flight attendants." Even you said yourself DL wasn't mentioned, so how could anyone possibly think that it was referencing "DAL only"??
I think your fear that you may have to become a union member is showing. Calm yourself.
As you always advise--"it will be ok."

Luke, it doesn't take a brain surgeon understand how he took a snippet of the article (with no link) followed by his own words:

Good luck with that ladies. You've got to convince Dougie and your soon to be new boss, Dick Anderson, that you deserve hazard pay. You have to use the 800 number to report stress!

It obvious his inference was DAL

It is what it is... 🙄

Let's go over how Deductive Reasoning works:
If A=B and B=C, then A=C.

So, in other words if F/A's have more stress at all airlines/A and Delta is an airline /B., then Delta f/a's experience on-the-job stress/C. It's really very simple. He was actually posting to NW f/a's, not Delta as he referred to "Dougie" and then "your new boss, Dickie".
And what difference does it make that he didn't link the article? We've seen the article now. So it appears you tried to discredit him from the get-go-- all coming again, from your defensive nature.

If it's true what was written about you in the springtime (that you are an Inflite Supvsr), does the company know that you are using company time to post on this board constantly? Also, I don't think that they would be happy that you are visiting these message boards and rileing up NW employees when DL is trying to create a welcoming atmosphere for them. (And you have more than once posted along the lines "get used to it," "you can always get another job"...) I'd say try to have the positive, welcoming attitude that your bosses are asking you to have.

Actually, I think I will have one of my union supporting Delta f/a friends report this person to their base manager... and I am sure they will try and trace it..

Trust me i have a very welcoming attitude towards NWA FA's. In fact im long time friends with quite a few of them. I am very happy I will have the opportunity to work with them. For one I dont "rile up" anyone. There has been some that have been out right rude about opposed views regarding AFA unionizing at DAL and the merger in general. For some no matter what, they will be unhappy about the change, but such is life, and life goes on. Its out of mine or their control. We can spit and spat all day long about it but it really does no good whatsoever. Some have very strong beliefs that lean one way, and others think different. That being said...try to have a positive welcoming attitude as well.

Not that I need to defend myself to you, but I have been nothing but welcoming and encouraging to NW employees...more than you know.
Unlike you, I have never intimated that if they don't like it, they should look for employment elsewhere.

I think your taking it out of context.

How so?

Speaking of "welcoming" your new in laws, what's the story with the DL managers that wouldn't allow NW guys to a DL sponsored BBQ/meet and greet because they were in uniform, and wouldn't remove the IAM patches from their shirts?

I usually gauge my responses based upon peoples attitudes such as these.

I knew of no such BBQ event so I cannot comment on.

Cheers...

Good luck with that...

I would be VERY careful with certain comments that could potentially show up in a Federal lawsuit regarding Northwest employees and known Delta management down the road. Hostile intent is against the law especially if it was premeditated months prior to an election or merger.

Perhaps you should watch those Congressional hearings again.

 Uh Ok...good luck with that as well!

Look here. You should not be so flippant.

I am sure NxNW remembers this incident. I also remember when NWA, and other airlines went after a webmaster of a mechanic website. That was all under your current CEO.

Have you read the rules of this site recently. I am quite sure your information would be released under a court order without hesitation. 😱
