Granparents want to fly united for christmas trip question? How soon should they make resverations ? Should they wait till like Halloween- thanksgiving time frame?

Given that your grandparents probably have at least 35-45 years on you (and perhaps more), aren't they able to figure out when to buy tickets? I'm guessing their life experiences have been vastly more varied than yours.
