Were you requesting first class? It says right on the page when you request the first class tickets to ignore the pricing. That it WILL be incorrect.

I recently sent a pass rider from the East Coast to the West Coast round trip, First Class. The ETC responce to me was to ignore the first class fare and that the fare would be corrected at the ticket counter. The ticket priced at full first class price and the ticket agent could not correct it.A call had to be made to the rate desk, and they had to manually price the ticket and knock the passenger down into coach class.. The rate desk asked why i had not completed the itineary and i told them that i had and provided a print out of the itineary. I did not see any page where one enters thier credit card number. The ticket agent told me that I was in error, did not have the training they they had and to pay full fare, no way, Either the sytem has a error in booking the first class fare, or the ticket agent has not recieved training on how to over ride the fare and post the correct zone fares. This agent did not even know what the correct zone fares were untill i provided a print out which showed the zone fares to the agent. To correct this problem in the furture, i am going to book my pass riders in coach, purchase a upgrade at the counter and tell the pass rider to upgrade at the counter.

Thats the best way to do it. Had one the other day that was pricing out at over $1700, but when booked back in coach, it went to the $98 or whatever roundtrip. After they bought the ticket, we just changed the class to F and checked them in. Not sure what the glitch is, but Sabre sometimes does the same thing when listed in C.

You are correct, they have to be listed and priced in coach and then upgraded. Don't forget if they are coming in or out of the UK and in Business there is extra tax that must be paid as well as the upgrade.
