Hi, UAL employee here (former reservations, now customer service).
United call centers are located in Honolulu, Chicago and Detroit only. At one time there were 12 in the United States. Unfortunately the bulk of it went to India and the Philippines (which makes passengers hate United even more, if that could be possible). Starting pay is probably (guessing) in the $9.00/hour range but top pay is probably about $22-$23/hour. I'm hoping United will keep the Continental Call Center(s) domestically?. I know they have one in Houston, don't know where any of the others are. They just closed one in Tampa about 1-2 years ago.
