Mins are 1000tt and 100 multi.MNR reqiurement. The detection pilots I've met come from various walks of aviation, not just instruction.Couldn't tell you about working conditions or pay first hand, having never looked for work there, and hours flown are gonna depend on the conditions in the bush. But having flown contract for the MNR, and having had the opportunity to converse with a good many Hick's pilots, I can say to a person, they all were very positive about their employer. That can make even a slow season a good one. I believe the recommended practise is to show up at the hangar in Dryden with resume in hand if your are to be considered for a job.
Hope that helps some.Good luck!
