And now AA is adding a 3rd daily flight from FLL to LAX. Could this be a response or a seasonal thing as some think? Just wondering aloud.......

The 3rd daily is year-round. And, yes, a jetBlue response, probably to tell the business traveler: "Hey, look! We have three daily flights and jetBlue only has one!" AA now offers 8 daily South Florida-Southern Cal. services.
