''Hooters Air'' set to take flight

We'll see about this one.[BR][BR]I do have to say, however, that operationally, this is a great time to be a cheap-o airline. You can get first rate aircraft for next to nothing. Gone are the days when you had to scrounge for old, decrepit DC-9-30s, 737-200s and 727-100s. You can have a nice MD-80 for less than $150K a month.

Found an article from CNN on this stuff:[BR][BR][A href="http://www.cnn.com/2002/TRAVEL/12/26/hooters.airline.ap/index.html"]Hooters adds airline wings to business menu[/A]

Can anybody confirm if this is pure charter or will be scheduled? Their press release ended with them saying they will release schedules/fares etc. in a month or so. Is it scheduled charter??? Thx!

Hooters bought Pace Airlines from Piedmont-Hawthorne. Pace operates several 757's. I do not know what other types, if any, they have.

According to the 3rd edition of the "North American Airlines Handbook", which came out last fall, Pace has 5 737-200 (2 operated for Patriot Air), 4 737-300 (all operated for Vacation Express), 1 737-400, and 1 757-200.

So if I understand this correctly, there will be 3 trained flight attendants plus 2 waitresses on board each flight. I can't even get 5 flight attendants on a UA or AWA 757. WOW, this ought to be interesting.
