Hope and Change 2010

Why are politics treated like a sporting event where we feel that we must cheer on our favorite team even when they're losing? Because politics like sporting events are made to divide-and-conquer. People who feel that they are informed voters and never go against their party line are political drones in the 'we're right and their wrong' majority!

I go against my registered party candidates over 50% of the time. Why? Because they are not always right and they don't represent my ideas of where we should be heading.

I find it laughable when people think that the USA is a Democracy. It's a Republic. Having lived in a foreign Republic, I know that the president is not elected by the people. I learned in college here that the Electoral College elects a president.

People who stick to party affiliations all speak the same rhetoric being spewed by said party! You are nothing more than sheep that follow the masses like the lemmings. You feel you need to win even if you lose! 😀

...but at least you stand for something. Believing any idiot who wears your party's colors 😛

AMEN!

I get tired of hearing the "Well, democrats do this...." and "Well, Republicans did that...."

I wish political leaders would stop holding other political leaders accountable for their lack of leadership and ability to improve issues on which need be improved.

Dear Obama,

I'm sorry Bush ruined the economy or whatever; however, you took the initiative to take over the government as a leader and to fix these problems. You have shown complete incompetency to do so. The economy can't change over night, but it can change gradually and you have shown that you completely fail at it. Instead of blaming your predecessor, please come up with solutions on how to fix the economy. If you aren't capable of doing so, please step down as I am sure there are some people who could get things done at a faster pace than you can.

Love, Me

PS

In NYS, I voted for the Rent Is Too Damn High party candidate. I'm not lying!

My man, Jimmy McMillan!
From article:
Humor generally fell to Jimmy McMillan of the Rent is Too Damn High Party to cut up the audience and his rivals. Like how he responded when asked whether he supports same sex marriage.

"The Rent is Too Damn High Party feels, if you want to marry a shoe, I'll marry you," McMillan said.

He wore black gloves, spoke at a rapid pace and repeated his party's name like a mantra.

"This is politics as usual, playin' a silly game. But it's not going to happen," said McMillan. "The Rent is Too Damn High movement, the people I'm here to represent can't afford to pay their rent."

In fact, even Paladino's campaign manager said that the night's winner was probably McMillan. And as for those black gloves, the candidate said he wears them to combat the psychological effects of being exposed to Agent Orange during the Vietnam War.

B)

Even Cuomo said he agrees with Jimmy that the rent is too damn high! 😛

I'm really anxious to hear "this" explained.............The TEA Party COST the GOP control of the Senate !!

Angle/O' Donnall/Miller.

If you think there was Infighting inside the GOP before last night, Wow, what about today ?
The power brokers are at the stategy desk RIGHT KNOW trying to find a way to ABORT the TP before 2012.

True old saying..."Be careful what you wish for" !

Woah, Obama - in my opinion - did really aweful during his 1PM press conference

Iberia, You wont get an arguement from me on that,..............However the fact remains that the REALLY Big Boys within the GOP have 2 years to fiqure out a way to ABORT (traditionally or Partial birth), the Tea Party and Palin !

This "just in" .
The TEA PARTY just put Mass. GOP Senator Scott Brown on their 2012 HIT LIST ! 😱

(Wow,...talk about the Gift that keeps on Giving ) 😀

Heres another big takeaway from "Change 2010"

Few Democrats survive healthcare vote
By Julian Pecquet - 11/02/10 11:00 PM ET

Democrats who voted for their party's signature domestic achievement dropped like flies throughout the evening, adding credence to Republicans' claim that the American public wants them to repeal healthcare reform.

Shoulda listened at those town halls, but no. Now.......your fired! 😛

Obviously you have no clue as to a group supporting and funding a candidate and said candidate not working for them then deserves to get voted out. Plain and simple. That's the way its going to be with Conservative support.
After all, they work for us and not us for them if you didn't notice.

I thoroughly understand what the TPers want from their candidates, but to imply that they wouldn't have wanted control of the Senate is a... s t r e t c h . They're Royally pissed that Angle lost, and they thought miller and that nut job O'Donnell were going to win !
Forget the entrenched D. senators in the NE. When they can't Take Down say a Patty Murray in WA. (close doesn't count) They Never will.

As for Palin,.........I PRAY like hel she runs in '12. (though the big $$$ GOP power brokers DON'T)
The TPers are effective only to a point. The HUGE GOP $$$ still runs the show(as was evident)
One last thing. If you think minority voter participation was huge in 2008, it would TRIPLE should a certain Red Neck from Mississippi(who cannot speak english) decide to run in '12.
Looks like you'll be stuck AGAIN with ol' Morman MITT !

TP wasn't trying to take Senate it was GOP with TP helping.
GOP knew the realities of taking both houses but I guarantee you they knew it was a real long shot and that's the way it went .I seriously don't think they're fuming at OD...after all they were real light on their support of the witch.
O'Donnell is an idiot.........her debate where her Constitutional expertise came out really shot her in the foot.

But how many senate seats did the Democrats hold onto that weren't up for election?

Elections to the United States Senate were held on November 2, 2010, for 37 of the total of 100 seats.

😛h34r:

This is actually a bad thing for Democrats. ESPECIALLY that Reid one. 😛h34r: Republicans will have 2 punching bags (Obama & Reid) for the next 2 years and they can ride on that momentum.

If All the senate seats were up for election and Republicans took control. Obama could have easily said "It's the Republicans fault! They own the senate and congress" and blah blah blah.

But Reid is still in power, this is Obama's administration, and Democrats are in power AND the GOP just blew a crushing blow to the Obama Administration.

Overall, it couldn't be better for the GOP.
