It's been a while since I have been to Pit. Can any one recommend a clean hotel near the PIT airport? I only need it for one night prior to an early am departure.

There are quite a few.
Holiday Inn, La Quinta Inn, Crowne Plaza, Courtyard, Marriott, Comfort Inn, Residence Inn, Springhill Suites, Main Stay Inn,

I stayed at both the Laquinta Inn and Comfort hotels when i was out here looking for a place to live and both places were clean.

Motel 6 on Thorn Run Road is clean and inexpensive. They have a discount for US employees. About $34 for one person. It's near the Air Force Reserve base. During election years, I stay there instead of spending the nights with family. I can avoid political discussions that way.

... there is also the Embassy Suites nearby... very nice with a good breakfast and Happy Hour!!! Fast Internet too.

There ia a Hyatt connected to the airport, although you may pay more it is the most convenient place for a early AM flight.

Mention that you are an airline employee (will need to show employee ID) and you will get a big discount. It cost me around $74 for one guest. The original quote was $180. Nice because there is a walkway between the hotel and the terminal. No transportation needed.

NOTE TO EVERYONE:

Advising that a hotel gives an airline discount is ok. Please be very careful that you do not identify any hotel as the layover hotel for crews from any airline.

That’s a pretty good deal, considering that the less expensive hotel/motels in the area don’t have shuttle service, so you would be paying for a cab. Plus you get to sleep in a little bit being so close!

New FA sales contest; first prize a Cadillac, second prize a set of steak knives, third prize you’re fired!

Hands down the Embassy Suites is the nicest and most reasonable in the airport area it's in Moon Township. They usually give an airline discount.
Thanks, Bryan
