That's true...but Bill never got the Christian vote. Gore didn't have the Christian vote, I guess in part because he associated with an adulterer. Kerry didn't have the Christians behind him, mostly because of his stance wasn't "pro life" enough for them. But they support Trump mostly because of the supreme court thing and the impact it will have on abortion. Except that they really aren't sure where he is on abortion...he's on record of saying he's pro choice, but what he's said in the past doesn't matter...it's what he says now and he's said the magic words with a twist...let's make it a criminal offense for a woman to GET an abortion. There's some red meat for the suck...I mean flock.

But..the Christian voters will give him a pass because what he said was "just locker room talk" and was 11 years ago (when he was 59)...and that adultery thing? Times unfortunately change....and Jesus teaches us to forgive. While you all are eagerly awaiting some wikileaks bombshells about emails, it wouldn't surprise me if proof that Trump paid for a womans abortion comes out about the same time.

And I don't care how "cool" it makes me look, there is no way in hell that I would refer to my daughter as a "piece of a-s on a national radio show. She IS quite attractive, but you gotta draw a line on THOSE kind of family values somewhere. I mean, I didn't like W, but at least the man DID read a bible. And both his daughters were pretty hot, but he didn't talk about them being a "piece of a-s"...So it was easy to see why Bush got support from the Christian groups. But Trump? It's a bit harder to understand.

In fact, I haven't seen anybody on the right give a reason why Christian Values voters support Trump...just a lot of stuff about Bill, Hillary and Michelle Obama - people who never did, nor never will get their support, but no explanation about why they give it to Trump. I'd have more respect for these "Godly men" if they would say "you know -pray for change in America because we can't endorse any of the candidates that are running".

Sorry...I haven't missed anything. While Christians who can think for themselves can approve or not approve of Trumps actions. But I pointed out my North Carolina example...a woman who was torn...but her decision was made because Trump had the support of "godly men" like Franklin Graham. She was looking for guidance from church leaders - and they are guiding her to a man that she was having personal doubts about. Had they not been there, she might have had to stop and think about her positions and how each candidate fit MOST of those - maybe it's Johnson or Stein. But Trump pandered to the religious groups by not just opposing abortion, but proposing charging the woman getting an abortion with a crime....even though just a few years ago he said he was "pro choice". Back when Kerry changed a position, the right played it up as "flip flopping" and it was painted as a bad thing. Today they look at Trump saying it and justify it with "people can change".

As far as your concerns on the amendments - George W Bush got the fourth amendment pretty much repealed 15 years ago and he did it in 3 days from introduction to passage. So the 4th was pretty much shredded. BAck when that was happening, people like you who are concerned about it today were saying 'if you haven't done anything wrong, you don't have anything to worry about". And I was called (not by you....you have skills at debate) a terrorist supporting libtard. The second is still intact...and as a matter of fact, despite all the concerns that "Obama is going to take your guns", there are MORE guns - including the nonautomatic automatic weapons then there ever has been. Gun shop owers might be in the "amen corner" with their customers talking about how great Trump is - but they most likely will pull the lever for Hillary - it's better for business.

As for Trump being a far better choice. Maybe so. But my dying labrador retriever is a better choice than Trump, so that's not saying much. And with all that said - you still haven't addressed the original question - if Christian values are so important, how can Christians support a candidate who lacks them as badly as Trump does?
