I am part of the mechanic and related group, not Fleet, but I know we can change our recall station, I would think you can do the same.

If you have never worked at a station and you get laid off you can't use it as your recall station.

I was there too, I was more involved then you were in the situation, and yes the company was free to impose any terms they wanted and the IAM was free to strike.

The members of all three IAM groups ratified their respective contracts and accepted the pieces of crap instead of taking on the company.

I voted NO can you say the same?

Yes they did at the same time the ratification vote took place.

I have, and if you are from a station that no longer has mtc in it you can choose any station if the stations where he/she has worked no longer operate as maintenance station and you can bid any opening in any station via the bid system.

Maybe you need to read your contract.

I did read my contract, more than once.

Just so its clear. If you worked in CLT and got laid off you can not choose a station like MCO
unless you worked there before. Thats pretty simple to understand.

That was the basis of the question. Your answer was to tell everyone you can basically do
whatever you want.. That would be incorrect.

as a fleet service agent, i understand that we can transfer to a city even if we didnt work there using the recall rights. dont know if it is true.
but my thing is wouldi have to transfer to BWI and workwith Piedmont then get transferred to mainline or how does it work?
