glad to see the clear logical thinking - IAM puts a death nail in the airline. I'm sure this is going to drive union membership in all unions around the country sky high. I thought the idea behind unions were to protect jobs not unemployee 25k+ employees.

It's not about putting people about work or forcing a company to fulfill their wishes. It's about looking tough. It's about being able to say, "We won" even if the airline folds. IAM is about appearances now more than anything, since if the airline folds so does their membership dues as well. Sit back, and enjoy the show coming in a few days.

IAM isn't about letting corporate thieves institute bargain basement wages and livelyhoods.....through loopholes in the bankruptcy laws........
the sad part here is how so many are willing to bend over and grasp their ankles instead of stopping these types of corporate rape from continuing.
these same type of circumstances drove many of our forefathers into forming unions in the early days of this country.
unions out lived their usefulness?? most have lost their spine as their willingness to stand and fight....

Don't worry us fli boi, your suffering here will be over soon. It will be ch 7 by the end of the month. You just can't come to grips with the fact that if the IAM goes, so does everyone else.
After that, you and your significant other at UAL can start a new life together. With all those skills you have amassed searving coffee, tea, whatever, Denny's or Cracker Barrel would snap you right up.
