IMO that statement about comparing ACA wages to AMW is a bit misleading. The ACA pilots are entering the longevity chart at 2 years. No matter how many years of service the pilot had at ACA he will start on the year 2 pay of 116 and hour. At AMW there would be no such thing as a year 2 Capt. so the better number would be a 10 or 15 year Capt rate. At AMW the 10 year is 131 and aca is 129, take that number out to 15 years and AMW is at 138 with ACA being back at 132..

Comparing apples to apples shows the AMW hourly is higher. Also the AMW guar. is 78 hours and ACA is 75. That 3 hours also adds to the higher AMW wage gap.

Independence is an extremely risky venture. It will be interesting to see how it pans out.
