That’s one of the things that Lumexis is touting; the lightest weight IFE system.

It’s too bad they’re not doing anything with inflight internet. Now that’s something FFs would appreciate. Oh wait, Tempe only cares about Kettles.

To think that video is what many experience daily. NO EXCUSE. As for the new IFE it will be nice to see. Can ya get some internet though. By the time US installs the new system it will be outdated as the last A/C is done.

I rode on that aircraft the other day and all of the seatbacks screens had these big plastic covers on them. When I saw the covers I did not know what they were so I asked one of the F/A's who told me that it is the new IFE, and she pulled the cover off. I wonder if the covers will be on the final version (held on with velcro) to protect the screens?
