What's new

Inflight Entertainment

What other domestic airline has power ports on all their wi-fi enabled aircraft? None that I know of. While it would be nice if US were the leader on something like that I doubt youll see them offering it if the competition doesnt.
AA has power ports on every mainline aircraft. Every seat in F/J has them, and many seats in Y have them also (best to check seatguru to insure your seat will have it). And the newly delivered 737's have standard power outlets not requiring an adaptor.

When US HAD the power ports operational, not many people utilized them at the time because they didn't have the cord for Plug In. Nowadays, more people travel with a laptop or dvd then ever and the power ports WOULD Be Used. When Tempe tinkered with that experimental Inflight Entertainment over a year ago, no information was given about the product other than 'there wasn't available financing to launch such an endeavor'. Well, something needs to be decided in regards to INFLIGHT ENTERTAINMENT........either contract DIRECT TV and offer a product similiar to JETBlue (their customers seem to rave about it, look into installing the New panasonic product that is available on the A330-200 or re-examining the Luxmeris product. It is a shame nothing is offered on flights longer than 2 hours these days. People don't seem to mind flights under 2 hours without an entertainment option but after that period they really need something to get involved with. All for Entertainment at an Ala Carte OPTION, with of course F/C complimentary and maybe the same thing offered to Chairman's, Platinum and STAR Gold........make it a desirable perk.
