Amazing. Here is an article about a racist depriving people of the right to marry and we have one person comparing it to DC an another hurling an insult that cannot be supported by facts. Yet neither one of you even hinted at any disapproval of the JP's actions.

Freedom is important to me as more of it is being robbed day by day. Will the couple in question get married. Yes. Will it stop this couple (or anyone) from getting married. No. Will the arse hat judge continue being an arse hat? Probably, until he's removed from the bench.
Big picture kitty, big picture.....if this is the worst of your problems then its time to see the bigger picture.
Will allowing gay people to marry each hurt anyone else's marriage? No. Will allowing gay people to marry diminish anyone's religious freedoms, or other freedoms, in anyway? No. Will allowing gay people to marry have any negative effect on anyone's life? No. Big picture.

As far as your religion goes, is divorce acceptable? Because, if you're religion is my religion (protestant), then divorce is highly unacceptable. Do you propose we ban divorce? Sounds a little radical, in my opinion.
As far as my personal moral values go, negro people cannot marry white people. It's not traditional nor is it right. And I bet if there was a vote to ban marriage of interracial couples, that people would vote to ban it. I'm not racist, just negros shouldn't be able to marry caucasians. End of Story.
You're American though. I personally think moral values should be taught and enforced by your family, not by government. But I know how much Americans love government to dictate societies moral values and such.
I bet the USSA has changed their motto to "God Bless the USA" to "Bless the Government"That's fine. Nobody will expect you to marry someone of hte same sex, and nobody will expect your church to perform weddings for same sex couples. Just dont try to tell others how to live.
