Iran's peaceful nuke intentions?

I did a search for ‘iranpressnews’ and did not really come up with anything. Judging by the various links on the page it would not seem to be any unbiased source. Imagine my surprise.

According to USA, their stated intention is that they are seeking nuclear power, not weapons. Although I would not be surprised if they join the nuclear bomb club within the next 10 years or sooner. If other nations can join, why not them? Not like we have the ability to stop them.

I cannot help but wonder how different the out come would have been had w not supported that bastard Mohammed Reza Pahlavi (Shaw) and allowed Iran to determine their own fate rather than having it dictated by the west. I wonder if we would have been allies, or at the very least, not adversaries.

Why others and not them? Probably , oh, I dont know, maybe because they haved vowed to wipe Isreal off the map?
Carter pretty much set the stage for the modern rise in islamo fascism by his complete and total failure in the embasy siege of 79. From that point in time on, every terrorist act left unpunished only incouraged further action. To be fair, Reagan, Bush Sr, and Clinton have all failed to deal with the rise of Islamofascism when the opportunity presented itself, or when events demanded it.
Our support of the Shah, while in itself regrettable, was a nessesary evil needed to help stop soviet expansion in the middle east. This, unfortunately, has been the nature of war and international relations since the dawn of civilization. It will continue until either the second coming, or we blow ourselves to back to the stone age.

While Iran may have stated that want to wipe Israel out, they are still a sovereign nation and as far as I am aware, may do as they see fit with in their own borders. While we may not like what we see, there is nothing that we can do.

Oh contraire, I beg to differ!

Especially given the fact that a bulk of our military is bogged down in Iraq chasing ghosts.
