Decarlos Brown was a felon who had 14 prior arrests, most of the charges had been dropped. In addition to his many arrest he had a history of mental illness. He was released with no bail by Judge Teresa A Stokes prior to the murder.
Teresa A Stokes was nominated by Elisa Chinn-Gary, who has a Master of Social Work and Juris Doctorate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and was admitted to the North Carolina State Bar in 1999. Teresa A Stokes was appointed as a judge in April 2023 by Senior Resident Superior Court Judge Carla Archie. Teresa A Stokes has not passed the North Carolina Bar exam and has no law degree. She does hold a Master's in Human and Social Services from Capella University. She and Alina Branscombe (her lesbian wife) run Pinnacle Recovery Services.
Who is Elisa Chinn-Gary? A self proclaimed Racial Equity Organizer and Diversity & Inclusion Consultant. She was named the Julius L. Chambers Diversity Champion conferred by the Mecklenburg County Bar to celebrate persons in the community who have advanced the cause of diversity and equal opportunity. She is a Co-Founder and Co-Chair of the RACE MATTERS FOR JUVENILE JUSTICE or RMJJ. Basically she is a politically driven social justice warrior sitting in judgement of other people, which in my opinion should disqualify her. She has abused her position to assist another like minded activist in securing a position as a judge. If she did it once she has likely done it multiple times.
Who is Carla Archie? As you might have guessed she is another activist abusing her power and position by placing her allies in positions of power over the public. She also recieved the Julius L. Chambers Diversity Champion Award.
I bet if you start looking real close at all of these woman you are going to find a history of racially impacted judgements, nepotism, and money laundering. The American people (and murdered foreigners) deserve better in their court system.
The American people really need to ban together and remove the rot from our court system. All three of these woman should be disbarred as they let their ideology influence their decisions and used it to justify nepotism.
