It is time to take care of the USAPA problem and keep jobs in Arizona

There has been much dissatisfaction with questionable challenges to results of the latest USAPA election. Members have been talking about giving up their membership and becoming objectors. This is exactly what the association wants you to do and is more than happy to take your money. I say, remain a member and exercise your rights.

I have spoken with a member of Congress, Rep David Schweikert of Arizona about the struggle of pilots in his district to keep their jobs they brought to the acquisition. He's also aware of the DFR and the court proceedings that followed. His job is to look out his constituents as our elected representative. He has an interest in aviation and has been referred to the Subcommittee on Aviation. The possible merger with American Airlines poses another threat to all employees of the airline headquatered in Phoenix.

Several of us have suggested min. fleet counts with a combined contract, to keep west pilots from getting pushed back east. There are some really nice areas to live out east, but all of my family is on the west coast (California, Idaho, & Washington). I'd like to stay a westie.
