I just found out that Jazz just laid off 28 more maintenance people in YVR.. :down: That takes them back to early 1989 hiring dates!!! 😱

Things just keep getting worse.. But.. such is the cyclic nature of our business.. Can't wait for this one to turn around...

They are also moving back to Hgr 101 in YYC in the near future :huh:

yup putting the boots to a couple of dozen people in YHZ also. I hear moving most of their ops to Monreal.

It is pretty bad- most of the guys I worked with are toast. The most junior AME has 14 years experience. 🙁

According to CNN, Air Canada is rewarding their staff with a Hamburger coupon!!!

Maybe they should serve burgers to the Jazz crews that got shytcanned too ?

I'm not sure if the link works, but they only had 100 coupons that expire Dec 31st, so they picked 100 people at random and gave them the $3.78 coupon. That would boost my morale!
