I hear Jet Airways is already looking to get out of the ground handling agreement with AA at Kennedy.Seems they are less than thrilled with the half assed ground handling they are being charged top dollar for.

Apparently local management is pulling an Asiana with Jet (Sign a contract that calls for 15 cleaners and provide them with half that number while billing for the full 15). I remember local management laughing behind the backs of the Asiana reps when they'd complain about the half ass job the skeleton crew we had up on the 747 was doing.

Ahhh, 'Customer Experience Leadership' in action...

Lga(JFK),

It's times like this that the Kennedy GM, should be HORSE-WIPPED for "non performance" of his position.

There is NO NEED for this kind of SH!T !!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, my man..., all I can say is this- AA only hires the top (management) talent, and of course they literally pay for it! Here are some facts-

The GM at DCA, forgot to renew the gate lease at slot restricted (DCA) , and lost the Alaska Air contract 2.) All those superior rampers that AA hired (anybody that could walk and breath, forget about a brain) damged more than a few aircraft there. Add to that all the "quality" people AA will get at all the "high cost" cites that AA flies too, with it's competitive wage rates. With all our raises since 95' (inflation adjusted) we are acually making $5.00/ hr. Don't belive me- http://www.financialsense.com/fsu/editoria.../2007/1020.html

As far as new GM's, look at some of these folks. Seem(s) like AA is scraping the bottom of the barrel for talent.

Just when things are going to get alot more challenging, may managers will be jumping ship at AA, as well as most of the senior people on the ramp. There won't be anybody left, that knows anything, about anything left at AA.

Now when you are looking at the corporate level. Those select individuals, that are charged with safe-guarding AA's assets. They continue to piss away wads of money, defending their risk management policy, defending against Plaintiff lawsuits, with Merit- LQQK for in the near future, for AA to pay a massive amount of $$ for violating California Wage & Hour laws 07-CV000555-JCR is the case #. There are other suits also, of which I will not elaborate -Jamie Abrams v. American Airlines.

AA's management mantra, is lie, deny, delay. They are however grateful for one thing, your concessions, which have allowed AA to earn a profit, pay (their) bonuses, reduce AA's debt, all on the back(s) of Labor. "Working Together, So..."they" can Win Together" ! , and all backed up by a corrupt TWU, and a US Recession, that will keep things just the way they are... http://www.rgemonitor.com/blog/roubini/228668/

Enjoy the ride...

THAT IS THE HAALF AASSED AAMERICAN AAIRLINES WAAY!!!!
They do that in aircraft maintenance all the time too!!
Sign a contract promise a set amount of manpower and timeline. Then cut the manpower in half and see how long you can cheat the contract. Finally lose the contract and then go back to your employees and tell them they failed and lost the contract!! When the empoyees were set up to fail from the beginning!!
As long as the corporaate crooks get thier BONE US's everything is fine. Those bastards will get what they desereve come contract time with all the unions!!!

It's a (plane) , as the nose on your face. AA's own statistics regarding the cleaning of own aircraft, is dismally low. Against the likes of Singapore Airlines, Cathy, Virgin and the like....we're rock bottom. These facts were given to us at a recent training class on the subject of Cabin Service at JFK.

On another related matter, our overnight cleaning program is an even greater farce. The overnight contractor, AirServ is desperately short-staffed (due to low salary, and no benefits ). Therefore our aircraft are not receiving layover cleaning (even after some A/C are on the ground 12 hours or more). At a minimal, they receive a turn-clean, as their cleaning crews, have as little as 5 people, when as a minimum they should have ten people. To make matters even worse, the untrained AA Crew Chief, assigned to inspecting certain aircraft for cleaning, merely hands over the aircraft numbers to the contractor, so as not to be bothered. Note too, that the current AirServ General Manager at JFK, is a formerly booted AA Manager, who still gets "special " treatment and access to AA.

So why would, JetAirways even sign such an agreement in the first place?

Maybe the allure was the leaking roof new terminal for the upscale passengers, or membership into one-world, whatever it was, JetAirways was duped, and they can only blame themselves.

Antonucci is the Airserv GM?.... Imposing is an understatement. You should have seen her with passengers when she was a red coat.
