Rumors have it that a jetBox went down by Ranger Lake (north of Blind River, East of Sault St. Marie) 😱

Have not been able to confirm, anybody know anything?

Only thing I have heard is that a Northern Alberta operator rolled over a 206 in the past couple of days...

I should change that to Helicopter down??

RUmors have it that the wreck has been spotted, with somebody in "attendance" but who's?

Got a buddy flying in that general area and have yet been able to get ahold of him. Anyone knowing anything please send me a PM.

Somebody apparently saw the wreckage (from the air) with what they thought was TC or TSB at the site. The wreckage was scattered over a large area, and apparently the blades were embedded in trees. Mind all of you, this is ALL hearsay!

So, anybody know?

I watch the Sudbury -Sault ste Marie news daily and haven'seen anything on there regarding any incidents.. for what its worth! Any further info I'll post

I sure pray no one was hurt.
Strangely what is taking so long to run this one down? Especially if TC and / or TSB is onscene?
Usually if you have a chip light on Devon Island someone in Botswana nows the details including part number before you have the rotors stopped and the plug in your hand.

Maybe its a "old" crash site. One that was never found. Wasn't there a jetranger that went missing half a dozen years ago that was never found around that area?

I'm fairly conversant on activity in North Eastern Ont for the last 20 years and I 'm fairly confident saying there is nothing outstanding in this area in that time...Perhaps your thinking of the machine out Montreal on a night flight to North Bay 5 to 6 years ago that disappeared Massive search between Ottawa (last fueling point) and North Bay turned up nothing Anyway that machine was found by a timber cruiser in the duex riviere part of Algonguin park a little more than a year later poor weather night low time The younge pilot was a French national who came to Canada to live his dream Needless to say it turned into his nightmare...... Any way sorry for getting longwinded that is the only helicopter that was missing for any amout of time in this area...... I talked to the chief engineer of a small company this afternonn and he was not aware of any missing helicopter activity in the last couple of days

Although I cannot say with authority, I have been told that a 206 in Northern Alberta did in fact beat itself up after the bush pad it landed on gave way. Seems the ship just rolled over and there were parts everywhere. Pilot O.K, just a little jumpy these days. Once again, I was not there, just passing on info that was passed on to me.

I heard thru the grapevine a 206 on Vancouver Island clipped a tree with the main rotor but was able to limp back to home base. Said it was shakin worse than an off-balanced washing machine.

thats a good way to kill yourself. Unless he had absolutely nowhere to land what the heck was he thinking

not only damage to the blade if this is true, but who knows what occured to the mast and tranny with even a small bladestrike... i think there's a hidden lesson in there, ryan...
