Yesterday on Twitter AMFA came on trying to claim that AMFA AMT’s were making more than TWU AMT’s at AA. Well I decided to look that up for a little accuracy.

Currently AMFA AMT’s TOS earn $50.60 per hour.
TWU AMT’s earn $51.18 per hour.

But the kicker is really in the 401K “Contributions”

AMFA Members at SWA receive ZERO Contribution and have to put in 9.3% to receive a “Match”

TWU Members receive a 5% Contribution and another 4% Match. The Contribution comes with no catches and is automatic.

So that means that a TWU AMT at TOS not counting any extras and just on BASE alone receives $5322.72 more than his AMFA counterpart if he isn’t contributing anything to his Company sponsored 401k account.

Taking another look at benefits. Under AMFA a new member has to wait 5 years to gain a 100% match of whatever percentage they put in up to 9.3%

Meanwhile under the TWU/IAM contract at AA members are 100% vested for both the contribution and match after just one year.

BTW don’t ever try to debate facts with AMFA National on Facebook or Twitter since the only thing they can do to respond is to block everyone who doesn’t support their jargon.
