I think it would be better to go after his infrastructure. Communications and air force are the most important.

He was going to bypass Congress as King but someone told him 'it'll be on you then'.

Seems like Obama pulled a page right out of the Bush play book. Create a situation then put Congress in a position that they cannot get out of. Obama will be able to point at Congress just as Bush did and say it was authorized. Biggest difference is that Congress does not have 9/11 hanging over their head and no US citizens have been killed .... yet and they are still going to vote yes. Are there not enough people in Congress who are willing to vote no or at least require that the Saudi's and a few others put their ass on the line along with everyone else?

I understand why Obama want's to do this. I do not like seeing chemical weapons used on people and Assad is a complete douche who might end up being a threat to the region. Hussein actually did cross borders so there was more of an argument there. Assad has not done that yet. Everything is still in Syria if you do not count the 2,000,000 plus refugees who have fled Syria.

I can only hope that this plays out like Libya did and only involves a limited engagement with no boots on the ground. Just pound on him a bit and leave.

Personally I still think this is a really dumb move by Obama and Congress.

And then, when his enemies see that, and see that the US did that, they will unify and say "he really wasn't that bad of a guy....now....jihad against the great satan" - and the guys trying to kill him today will be trying to see if they can bring down a couple more buildings here in the US later.
