Put down your swords. It's not what you think.

I was thinking about kool-aid the other day (don't ask) and remembered a neat trick with the stuff. When we were kids we used to sprinkle kool aid (right out of the packet) onto vanilla ice cream. It really added a zing and funky flavors. I don't know it that was akin to eating paint chips but had to try and lighten the mood around here.

They serve paint chips at my high school in Chicago, I have it for Breakfast, Homeroom, In-Between classes, Lunch(all 4 different times) and before I go home...I wish US Airways had Paint Chips instead of Sun Chips...yummy!

That actually sounds kind of good.

Sice we are flashing back to child hood ... how about pop-rocks, those hard candy dots on paper strips that would never come off, the wax bottles of flavored juice, those red/wht/blue pop sickles, gum ... ahhhh child hood memories.

Anyone remember pixy sticks?

How about the gum you got with your baseball cards? It would take forever to make it chewable. Then you would take your Willie Mays rookie card to the playground and see how far you could through it not knowing how valuable it will become.

pixy sticks? mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Raw sugar in a straw lol. That's some good stuff.

The Ice cream thing reminds me of something. When I was in Hawaii on the north shore there is a little shop that sells shaved ice. The ice is shaved so fine that it come out like actual snow. Anyway, you can get a scoop of vanilla ice-cream on the bottom and it will take on some of the flavor of the syrup. That was the best snow cone I ever had bar none. I think the place is called "Motsumotos". It was on the travel channel.

I've been to Motsumotos too...and you could get sweet adzuki beans on top of the ice cream. It got messy but it was sooo good...mmm... 🙂 and you're right...it was the best.

(I'll probably regret this😉

8 oz. GLASS bottles of Coca cola/pepsi cola/R C Cola(royal crown)/ Birch Beer/Sarsaparella(SP?)/lemon-lime/"MOXIE"  ........................................... All for the price of.........$.05

What about the Charlie Chip man. You would get potato chips delivered to your house just like the milk man. Those metal cans made great drums. They cause many headaches for parents.

Yup, "12"...that was a good combo.

Anyone from NYC/BOS area's can easily remember drinks made at your local Apothacary call an Egg Creme, or a Lime Rickey, prepared by some NERD, affectionately refered to as a "SODA JERK" !!!!
