Word on the street is mediation in DC second week of Jan. Arbitration looming? That's no good for anyone. How much is TWU asking for anyways? What has the company offered?
I won't put much more than this 2 cents in - but where I work, increases of any kind (cost of living, merit, etc) have been put on hold. Even though the cost of living continues to rise, a 3% cost of living increase is 3% more than a lot of other folks are getting these days.555 is asking 4% across the board to keep up with cost of living on a 3 year contract
hq is asking 3% across the board for new employees and for tenured employees 3% first year and 1% for duration of contract.
Cost of living is affecting everyone and to alienate the employees that made it what we are today is wrong. I would consider something that is fair and equitable to everyone. What hq has put out leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
