Let see Piney,

You post a humor thread that has nothing to do with US.

I say let the thread live.

Since the story appeared in About US, we'll let this ride for a while, PROVIDING it does not become a personal attack on ANY particular member.

If it denigrates like some others have, it will be closed.

Then I will be very careful.

Yes, it's KingLobJaw in the picture. The picture and article are in the latest edition of AboutUS. Those are the facts.

Anything else I say would close the thread, so I'm holding my tongue.

What I'd like to know is how or WHY he was in the AboutUS newsletter. Does it really matter to the employees? How in hell is this COMPANY related? It must have been a slow news week for those who put the AboutUS newsletter together. I guess it's all in who you know. He certainly couldn't/shoudn't benefit from it as it's an internal newsletter. I'll keep my mouth shut as well and give a simple... 🙄

It's probably because he is one of the only Preferred members who still have anything nice to say to management.

That said, I will also refrain from commenting further, except to say if we start to ignore him he will go away. All of this just feeds into his need for recognition and aggrandizement.

Oh, I wish we were speaking of someone else who fits the last sentence to a T.

"His career ambition is to become a pilot".

You have to wonder if (years from now) should he become a pilot will he be so "rah-rah" for whoever he works for or will he realize flying as a preferred member on an airline and working for one are on opposite ends of the spectrum. Sorry if this causes the thread to be closed.

Just my two cents.

Wanted to ask, just how many miles to you need to fly to become a chairmans preferred member? Not sure if the requirements have changed with the merger.

i would laugh if someday he joins the company as the most pro union anti company pilot ever ... 🙄
