Latest credible poll at 63%

Of which dividend income comes from money invested that has already been previously taxed. You seem to have a very thin grasp of investment income and taxes. Your talking points fall flat.

The democrats have had the chance for over 30+ years to change the tax code. And haven't. Why is that?

Income from taxable income in any form (interest, capital gains, etc...) is taxable to some extent.
Our tax code is one sided.

Your 'blame game' of allowing this to continue as the fault of the demorats is laughable.
RepubliRats and DemoRats will continue to squeeze us and still blame us because we are too ignorant to catch them as they rape us.

Just like the 3 card monty, pick a card-any card-oops you lost, sorry sucker... 😱

No its not. Earned income and Capital gains are totally different. You seem to be clueless on the tax code just has Jim.

Laugh all you want, the democrats are trying to lay something "laughable" at the feet of the republicans. The democrats have had plenty of opportunities to revise the tax....code but never have. At the same time reaping millions in campaign contributions from "evil" wall street fat cats.

Whats sad is people (liberals) forget that inconvenient truth.

What a crock! The top rate is 35% on earned income--as in wages and salary. The rich, particularly the super-rich, don't have earned income or only a small percentage of their income is earned. Their income is from dividends and long-term capital gains--both of which are taxed at 15%.

It was the point that Warren Buffett was trying to make. IIRC, he draws no salary at all from his company. His payment is in dividends made by the company. 15%!

Oh, and xUT, no, I was not trying to be funny. If you talk with anyone who in the business of helping people find jobs--whether govt. agency or private employment agency, they will all tell you the same. It is easier to get a job if you have a job.

That's why he's been in court ten years trying to pay his fair share.

If Warren B. feels "HE" should be paying more, whats stopping him from just whipping out his pen and inking a check for a Gazillion dollars to the United States Treasury ?

True. But Why do you think WB AND Bill Gates Also say that they are undertaxed.
WB I find to be a bit "unpredictable", but please help me understand your reasoning towards Bill Gates.

Maybe Buffet invests at Bear Sterns?

The tax the rich BS that is Obama's class warfare envy........how you figure it will harm GOP?

DNC won't vote for increased taxes so WTF?

Rich pay 35% ....why don't we share the pain and all pay 35%

That's a shared sacrifice if I ever saw one.

There is class warfare dell, it has been waged on the middle class of this country rather succesfully. The ironic thing is that in spite of what you seem to think YOU are a member of that class. You are not part of that little club you are talking about. How many pay raises did you get in your last ten years at US Air? What sort of retirement benefits do you get from US Air? Then compare that to the various CEO's of US Air.

Apply for a CEO job then !

Are you a tax lawyer?
I am guessing not (nor am I). The tax code is ridiculous and is one sided.
This 'blame game' is as ridiculous as well as both sides screw the working class (yes I said class, if you think there are not different classes/caste/etc then you are delusional).

That why 'lobbyists' still exist. Both sides proposed reform but never took action. As long as they exist, then the sellout will continue.

I am always 'mused' as the labeling some of you folks use. You want an inconvenient truth?
Unfettered capitalism "DOES NOT WORK!".
Hows that?
