Filing a lawsuit is not the same as winning a lawsuit.I for one didn't think that this incident would come and go without any lawsuites being filed. Once everyone gets over being thankful that they survived, they start to count the cash that could be coming their way, I sure hope those birds have a good lawyer behind them....![]()
You miss the point of "frivolous" lawsuits.Right now I don't see a snowball's chance in hell of any suit against US Airways recovering any damages. As far as we currently know there was no flight deck negligence, cabin crew negligence or maintenance negligence. Additionally there doesn't seem to be any negligence against Airbus either.
Birds in both engines can, and did, cause the plane to lose power and not be able to make any runway anywhere. Can someone tell me how US Airways knew, or could have known, that this would happen and done anything differently?
Please explain why those two words have any applicability to anything. Two words: "Force Majeure."
