If only he would have practiced what he preached then we would not BE IN THE EXACT MESS HE SAID WE WOULD BE IN!!!!!!!

Local, Jersey, Dell. Put this in your pipe and stuff it. This is straight from your half wit leader.

Cheney interview in 1994

It's impressive how much insight Cheney showed in that interview. Too bad he didn't follow his own advice. I thought the best part of the interview came at the very end, when Cheney asked, rhetorically, "How many additional dead Americans was Saddam worth?"...and he answered his own question by saying, "not very many."

Cheney interview in 1994

So maybe you have proved he wasn't a key player in all the planning then.Cheney is a very astute person who holds close his convictions. So why then with a very good assessment of the situ in '94 would he then throw it into the fan?
Thanks Gar for a very insightful look into Dick Cheney.

Not sure why he lost his mind. You would have to ask him why he lost his mind. If I had to guess I would say it was greed and power. From all that has been said it would seem that he was the THE planner behind this cluster phuck. Cheney would not know a conviction if it bit him on the ass and told him hello. He knew damn well what was going happen when he invaded Iraq. If he had convictions he would have resigned and spoken out against the invasion. If you think he just went along with it them he is a hypocrite at the very least. According to what he has said since that interview, he invaded Iraq and placed the soldiers lives at rick with wanton disregard. That, if nothing else is grounds for impeachment. He sent in troops knowing full well that more than the 156 or how ever many were going to die. That borders on treason. He went in knowing full well it was a lost cause from the get go and yet he still continues.

And you have the gall to #### about what Clinton did? This video shows in all its glory what kind of people you support. They threw the lives of over 3,000 troops away to a cause they knew was hopeless.

Jersey ......SHAME ON YOU!!!!!! Cheney is the one paying lip service to 'supporting the troops'. He supports them all the way to Arlington.

My God man....are you about to swoon?

Your seething hatred for Cheney has cost you rationale man......

Who says he alone sent troops into theater?

Impeach him...WTF if it feels good do it.

If he had convictions he would have resigned and spoken out against the invasion.

Only if those convictions were up to your own approval.

He sent in troops knowing full well that more than the 156 or how ever many were going to die. That borders on treason. He went in knowing full well it was a lost cause from the get go and yet he still continues.

High crimes and misdemeanors?....prove treason here and now......do you know the meaning of treason?

Your lover Bill sold off all kinds of sensitive military information that the Chinese now have targeting info that they didn't have before...dude i'm talking CEP.....circular error probability....its the accuracy for putting a missle right at your door and your lover Bill Clinton through Loral and tasty contributions sold this stuff to China while POTUS.So you KMA with your lame ass allegations of treason.

Treason

In law, treason is the crime of disloyalty to one's nation. A person who betrays the nation of their citizenship and/or reneges on an oath of loyalty and in some way willfully cooperates with an enemy, is considered to be a traitor.

He knowing sent troops into Iraq knowing full well what would happen.

Seething hatred? You're damn straight. Up until I saw that video I just thought he was a crooked vindictive creep. The fact that he know he was sending troops to Iraq for a lost cause has elevated him to a level of disgust and sickness not experienced in politics on any side of the aisle.

I might be wrong but I thought all sales of technology to foreign powers had to be approved by Congress. Not sure about that and to lazy to look right now.

Dell, They were his convictions. It is on the video. He said it was wise of Bush Sr. not to go in and that going in would result in the cluster phuck he is currently over seeing. You explain to me why/how he could sit by and let this happen? To here him speak now, you would have thought the world was going to end had we not invaded. He knew it was a lost cause and made/makes no effort to correct it. No he has no convictions. It has nothing to do with my approval or not. It has to do with what he said in 1994. How you can defend him is beyond reason.

I'm willing to bet he raised the same objections 2nd time around and i'd be willing to bet he was overuled, after all much to your and others chagrin...he is not Prez.
Quite possibly,George had a better idea but alas.....
Show me any war where dying young men aren't a lost cause......
No mention of Benedict Clinton and Loral

Number 1

The U.S. invasion “was the right thing to do, and if we had to do it again, we would do exactly the same thing,â€￾ he said.

“No doubt, we did not anticipate that the insurgency would last this long,â€￾ Cheney said. The United States must stay the course, however, because while the situation is “difficult,â€￾ it is significantly better, he said. That's obviously a lie according to his 1994 interview.

“The people obviously are frustrated because of the difficulty, because of the cost and the casualties, but you cannot look at Iraq in isolation,â€￾ he said. “You have to look at it within the context of the broader global war on terror. ... If Saddam Hussein were still in power, we would be in a vastly worse position.â€￾ Another lie.

Number 2

Just more lies, read them at your leisure.

Number 3

"We've got the basic strategy right," Cheney told George Stephanopoulos in an interview to be broadcast Sunday on "This Week."

"It may not be popular with the public -- it doesn't matter in the sense that we have to continue the mission and do what we think is right. And that's exactly what we're doing," Cheney said. "We're not running for office. We're doing what we think is right."

Dell, still looking for an objection, any objection. I can't find one. Have you? I would think that a man with convictions would have said something by now.

Cheney asserted that the anti-war message is coming primarily from the Democrats, despite their own policy disagreements. Can you say irony? Given his interview in 1994, I would say the stongest argument against his war was given by .... um .....Oh yea....HIMSELF.

How long do want to do this? I can probably find quotes from him all day long.

As for who runs the White House. I don't believe W has the ability to run a ice cream truck much less the White House. From most accounts I have read, Cheney pretty much does his own thing and can convince W that up is down and right is left.

C,mon DELL, be honest .
Your INSULTING your OWN intelligence !!

You know "Dam good and well" Cheney is the HEAD Neo-con at "1600",...AND you KNOW EL-CHIMPO listens VERY VERY carefully to DIRTY "DICK".

Iraq was'nt W's war(with the exception of getting even with Sadam, over GHWB) !!!!! ..., It was (in this order) CHENEY/WOLFOWITZ and RUMMY, who covinced EL-CHIMPO to go all out.

So with ALL DO RESPECT..DELL..."CUT THE SHET" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The offer is still on.
I'll buy you your OWN copy of "HUBRIS"--The spin, scandal, and the selling of the Iraq war", by Michael ISIKOFF, PULITZER prise winning reporter.

Dirty(HALIBURTON) "DICK", is the WORST of the WORST, in this adminisration...HANDS DOWN !!!!

He is a professional politician. Of course he is going to saw "we". He is not going to present himself as usurping the POTUS. Like I said earlier, from accounts I have read, what Cheney wants, Cheney gets. Had Cheney spoken out against the invasion, it never would have happened. He wanted it, he got it knowing full well what the consequences would be.

While Cheney may not be the ones signing the bills and what have you, he is pulling all the puppet strings.

Watch out buddy...theres a black suburban across the street with two guys in it......

That's the best you can come up with? I guess that means there is no defense left for Cheney and his minions.

That's the best you can come up with? I guess that means there is no defense left for Cheney and his minions.

How 'bout Cheney and all you drool over is in the past and doesn't really have much to do with here and now......and all you foam over is rampant speculation as there is absolutely no way you or I can prove what involvement Cheney had at anytime.
Sure, you'll spout about soldiers dying needlessly in Iraq and so be it....but even on that subject.....we are not privy to anything other than mere speculation......of course unless you want a copy of the National Intelligence Estimate.....

C'mon Gar...I got more respect for you and all the others who post here.....(believe it or not)...we argue back and forth about W or Cheney....but what do we have as far as actual insight into the issue other than speculation?

Take it easy,dude....

Dell,

Look, I can appreciate having differences of opinions but I'm sorry, you are wrong on this one.

Look at the interviews that Cheney has given. Look at everything that has been said about him by people who were on his side. Look at his reputation. Of course it is speculation. I have never been hit by a semi but I am pretty sure it would hurt. I put the pieces together and I would but your soul that Cheney has his finger prints all over this.

i think what bothers me the most is that had this been any liberal, you, Local and the rest of the republicans would have been on this like white on rice. Fox would have been on top of Mt. Everest calling for executions. But no, it's Cheney and the media is silent.

Cheney predicted with ominous accuracy exactly what would happen and no one listened or remembered. Where is the out cry? Where is the out rage. Had a liberal or anyone else had the foresight and continued with the plan, I hope I would have the moral character to say kick the bum out.

The fact that you continue to show support for him disappoints me. I expect that from he likes of Local and 700, but you seem to have a pretty good head on your shoulders.

BTW, I love the little pictures you put at the end of your posts, they are funny as hell.
