What's new

LGA-PHX

I always wondered how to properly trash an aircraft. Can you teach us? I mean I see the results, just not how you westies do it.
Reason you don't see how we do it is because we don't drag tails out here. We stay on taxiways, don't bang them on to where the gear collapses, and we keep out winglets to ourselves.

You do fine without and instruction.

Remember the security ninnies (federales like Secret Service and others) who argued in September, 2001 that DCA should be permanently closed because of its proximity to numerous high-value targets?

And apparently there are still some crews that like to make up their own rules about making everyone remain seated the last 30 minutes into DCA. 🙄

Exactly. After I wrote the post, I remembered the no-pee for 30 minute rule imposed by the feds, with potential diversions to IAD or BWI if anyone broke the rule. That was just childish, juvenile rulemaking of the highest order. I expect more from federal officials. And you're right - there are still reports of crews telling passengers of the 30 minute rule, despite its repeal years ago.

Look people!!! Today I feel proud. This eastie has made the effort to research and find a piece of info to support his argument.

Even though this doesn't compare to the reckless incompetence of the east (putting a winglet through a rudder or taxiing into the dirt while trying to beat a west flight to our gates in BDL), it shows what is possible - the potential for an eastie to think for himself.

Nice work LD3. You get an A for effort.

Now, that's only one. Can you please find more west reports to compare to the 10 or so east incidents/accidents? And let's keep it to within 5 years.

Who's VD, or was that a Freudian slip from worrying about your last RON hook up? 😱

/yawn
Freudian slip? No, I was insulting you. If you want me to ratchet it down to where you know you're being insulted without having to be told, then let me know.

And I knew you didn't have the intelligence to let the post ride. What I didn't know was that you'd respond with a yawn.

Tell you what, I'll give you a second chance to come back with something better or let it ride and we'll forget the whole yawn thing.

Oh, so we're back in grade school? Are somebody's Underoos in a knot because mommy didn't cut the crusts of their PB&J sandwich? 😛

Since you started the poo-flinging in this thread, feel free to tell the class how HP's certificate was under scrutiny. Didn't that whole Wonder Woman routine the FAs had to do while disarming doors result from that? Who needs IFE when you have that kind of live entertainment.

That reminds me of an article, many years ago, about the early days at America West. It noted that when the company went to IATA for a two letter code (this was before alpha numeric ones were allowed) the choices were VD or HP. Hence, they got HP. Some wag said it stood for "happy passenger".

Look, I thought we were past "your airline is less safe than mine" tirades. (Mind you, I don't read the pilot thread - for all I know it's still going on there.)

And let us please get back on topic.

<shakes head and sighs>

Look folks, I know we are coming on a full moon, but the tirades, off topic comments, and insults are simply out of hand.
