Please, some twits in the Sandcastle are probably testing it out to see if it really sparks. Imagine them all sitting around a boardroom table. Sally gets her hair fried. She comes out of the boardroom with it still smoking, "Get all the powdered creamers off the planes". "It works".

It's also true that anything less than a 32" pitch in coach is flammable.
