Mae At It Again?

So what exactly is so different about the hydro systems on the bus that would turn the skydrol reddish in color????? I will look into this a little deeper.....then I will let you know.

Its a very light redish tint. I have checked four a/c and the fluid is about the same color on all. At this point I would have to say its the norm. To bad it was not researched more before the flushing of A/C 727. I would love to know the cost of that decision......... 😛

anyone bother to check with our friends at FAA? i'm sure they would see this as an item of highest concern........i've seen skydrol go to a yellowish hue ....but red???

Don't you folks think it would be better if this was handled internally? Where are the champions of U maintenance? Are you guys going to use your heads or the telephone?

Frightening the public without the facts is pretty stupid.

The Champions of U maintenance are all laid off!! Call the FAA now thats a good one everybody knows they will get right on it! Just another little side note it may have already began not sure but on Mar 28th there will be numerous mechs at U working on live airplanes who have been in the shops for a very long time, thats not to say they are not good mechanics but just like anything you do there is a learning curve involved, the next few months could be a little bumpy for U's maintenance department. The shops are different than overhaul, overhaul is different than line maintenance. Here is a classic example of the maintenance departments top notch management in PIT, I believe an airbus "S" check is coming in pretty soon, have they been sending guys to airbus school that are coming in from the shops, have they been ensuring they have the tooling and parts no!! they have been throwing away chairs, painting ladders, and painting walls! To all the fine mechanics in PIT who didn't get laid off I say Good Luck and be patient with the guys who haven't been on the floor are on the line in a while.

Frighten the public??? Right. Champions of maintenance??? About 400 of us are leaving in a few days. Not to worry though. MAE has got you covered  .

I remember when the EAL mechs walked and the airline was still flying with a rag-tag operation. A local news crew had a camera in a jetway in MIA and stopped an intelligent looking individual and asked him if maintenance at EAL was a concern? He looked right into the camera and said, "No." "I'm sure it is being taken care of or they wouldn't be flying."

Now look at all the pencil whipping that went on over there. So don't put your trust in the FAA with their tombstone legislation. They are just another bureaucracy with people at the top that have NO AIRLINE EXPERIENCE <_< .

As long as airlines continue to give the flights away with low fares people will agree to fly with a duck on their lap.

Three days to go.....E-I-E-I-OOOOO 🙄 !!

theres talk of pit heavy going to 2 shifts per day...10.5 hours per day and a hour and a half gap between....i'm told the foreman will work during that gap.....i saw my supervisors toolbox...guess whats in it?????
