Todays ebid shows an opening in DFW for a Hanger Stores person. Is something about to pop?

doubtful. AA has the DFW hangar and would probably give up the facility up north first. Scuttlebutt is AA is planning on doing just that when the union issue is settled. Delta acquired the MSP facility and would probably make a go at filling it first. Charaff has consistently stated he would avoid adding additional fixed cost to the Tech Ops budget and probably has the support of the executive management on that score as well. Gossett has stated as well the maintenance footprint for the DFW overnight aircraft is large enough to not justify re-opening up a line maintenance station. But as everyone that has been in aviation long enough knows, things change at a moments notice.

I work for AA in DFW. The old Delta hanger will start doing AA 757 gear changes and 777 reverser mods as soon as the RIF begining this month happens.

update...

the bid was removed the other day as it had no description. now today, it is back with a detailed job description. what's going on here? i cant think of any reason to post that position, not once, but twice, if there was no plan to do something there.

any thoughts?
