That seems to be how it is typically presented but I think it could/should apply to any combination of people.

By definition, polygamy explicitly means multiple wives. Polyandry is the practice of multiple husbands.

Perhaps the more correct definition to use should be plural marriage, since that would encompass polygamy, polyandry, and group marriage (two or more wives and two or more husbands).
