BRANCATELLI FILE: WHAT WILL LOYAL US AIRWAYS FLYERS DO NOW?
which exposed those executives as incompetent, arrogant, self-deluded and dishonest.
I have been saying this all along. And, I know this from my own experiences in dealing with these people. I have never dealt with a collective group that are so smug and condescending, yet so incompetent. In my case, they never took ownership of the hardships they caused for me and, in some instances, they were retaliatory. Oddly, they know that they are incompetent and perversely use that as their excuse. Statements like, "we didn't realize", "this is all new to us", "this is the way we do things here" are mantras in Tempe. Once, I methodically built a case for an issue that I had had. I followed the chain of command that eventually led to a certain VPs' desk. When I presented this person with the situation and asked he/she to think "outside the box", he/she responded in an email and used statements like, "what I have found out", "unfortunately, we do it this way", "our policy is", "I understand your frustration". This person repeated everything that I had already stated and then acted as if he/she did a little research and found this-and-this out for me. They did absolutely nothing, but acted as if they did. Eventually the Union got involved and the situation was made right. As an aside; never underestimate the value of your Union dues. When you are right and you've built your case, they will go to battle for you.
The only way it gets better is if the issue is kept in the harsh glare of the media.

I'll repeat what I said in the "$100 Dollar Bonus" topic. It would be a wise strategy, for the Unions and employees, to use Media Day to their advantage.
