Medical & Dental Benefits

HP pilots do not have the same choices as flight attendants and mechanics. It was something that happened after their last contract negotiations. If you look on the back of your handbook you received in the mail it says "flight attendants & mechanics". Everyone else in the company has one that says "core".

I have the POS at UHC for $42.02 a month. I am able to see any specialist, without a referrel for a $10.00 co-pay. My prescriptions thru Caremark are $20.00 for 3 months of meds.

After more than 20 years with HP, I have only recently had to use my benefits with a subtotal gastrectomy/midline laparotomy due to stomach tumor. I had a co-pay of $300.00 for 13 days of hospitalization. My bills were negotiated to just over $80,000, UHC didn't blink and paid immediately. The service was friendly and smoothe.

I think we have pretty good benefits on the medical and dental front.
