Merger is imminent

So?

It is not true?

Give me an example on how it isn't!

Does your super watch your kids when you have to work a double shift 'for the family'?

Give me a break.......

Quite an apropos statement though that reflects your mindset.

Do the 'Masters' bidding and you will have a job!

[Deleted by Moderator- with time off given. We are not going to start this merger talk with name calling and insults. Anyone else want time off go for it.

Wow!! You lost me. I know when I have to work extra and plan for it. I have a support group for my 11 yo but have watched plenty of peoples kids as support. Anytime you have shift work you have to plan. I go out of town often and my spouse works to. I sometimes don't know where I will be until I get to work...maybe MSP, CLE...never know. I do know, if I need anything my coworkers will be there. Not sure I get your reply.

Yes. And I've had his kids at my house a couple times when he got called out of town.
He also came to the house to fix a frozen pipe in the garage when I was out of town.
Loaned me a generator and rigged the connection to the house when the power was out for several days.
Has gone out of his way to help a lot of people, and not just in our department.

I've been to crew parties hosted by supervisors, at their homes, in 4 of the 5 departments I've worked in at Delta.
I've also been invited to parties in departments I work closely with, but am not a member of.
Can you say the same?

MMB,

You have been a decent person on this BB (probably more so than myself). 😛
What you say may be true, or it may not be, but your ‘team’ is laying it on a little too thick from my experience.
Yes, I’ve lived in the south and I find little differences than from anywhere else.

Thanks, but I don't know that I deserve it. I tend to get a little hot with the 'everyone has to go union' crowd.

Lie? Never! The truth is far too much fun! 😀

>but your ‘team’ is laying it on a little too thick from my experience.
The "you will find yourself jobless." line was a bit much. The chances of getting fired from Delta are pretty slim.

Yes it is, but not just Atlanta. The five departments I mentioned were:
3 in Atlanta.
1 in San Antonio - this is where the foreman did not host any parties. The crew, however, did.
1 in Boston.
