As a new addition this year to the motley collection of nutcases who brave the lost luggage, run-down terminals, RJs and Plastic First Class and dare to fly the New US Airways, I want to wish all of you a merry Christmas and a happy, safe and productive 2006 - especially those of you who are giving up your holidays to keep the planes flying today, tonight and tomorrow.

I came to HP/US for the free elite upgrades and stayed for the people on the ground, on the phone and in the air who provide great service - Thank you all, and see you in the skies.

As they are working so very hard to get rid of the CHRISTMAS part of this holiday, we should all send them a nice, CHRISTIAN, card to brighten up their dark, sad, little world. Make sure it says "Merry Christmas" on it. Here's the Address, just don't be rude or crude.

Two tons of Christmas cards would freeze their operations because they wouldn't know if any were regular mail containing contributions.. So spend 37 cents and tell the ACLU to leave Christmas alone. Also tell them that there is no such thing as a Holiday Tree. . . . It's a Christmas Tree, even in the fields!!

Thank all you employees for your sacrifice, commitment and service throughout the past several years. Your dedication is a tribute to all the fine airlines USAirways is made of. I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas/Hanukah/Kwanza or whatever celebration is pertinent.

I wish the same for all you pax that have endured the changes and the adjustments these changes have necessitated.
