Amazing....a US website that actually loads when you click on it. They must have outsourced it.
Odd that you placed this on the Delta board. From what I have read they have seen these tierd arguments and have dissmissed them. From the lack of support and the complaints that are on the Usair board they do not seem to care much for this idea either. However ...from what I can see it is the Americawest people that are caught up in the hiepe.Hoping to get something for nothing
No, HP and US have not completed the intergration of the senority lists. Un-repainted airplanes, etc.I'm a little bit confused. Is the HP and US even fully completed? Have they completely merged into one airline with one name and one set of uniforms and signage and livery? I admire US for even attempting this but having gone through the Pan Am debacle and losing seniority and that was in the half way descent days I can't imagine what this buy out would be like.
Or FCFS 😉 *hide*Seniority integration is settled for all but the pilots, which is in arbitration now. I believe everyone else will be DOH when the groups actually merge under a single contract.

The unionized groups determine what their senirity will be. IF they cannot agree it goes to arbitration. The flight attendant union (AFA) has it in the constitution that it is by date of hire. No, HP and US have not completed the intergration of the senority lists. Un-repainted airplanes, etc.
I have heard US is not going to be stapled to the bottom of the list. US has been in business since 1933, AWA, somewhere around 1980's, therefore the list will be integrated in a way to make everybody unhappy. US brought to the table bigger airplanes and international routes, I am guessing that was also taken into consideration.
To elaborate a little...
They're shooting to have a single ops certificate and res system by sometime in the 2nd quarter.
New uniforms are being developed for all uniformed work groups - different groups are at different stages of the process.
Three of the 4 big unions - ALPA, AFA, and IAM - are still in negotiations for a single contract. No telling when that will all be done. The IAM is least along in the process, since there was some disagreement which union would represent the mechanic and related.
While nearly all airports served now have colocated facilities, the 2 res systems usually mean that passengers for a HP flight have to check in at the HP counter and US passengers at the US counter. They're in the process of installing the SHARES terminals in airports and sending agents to training. Once that is done, they'll be ready when the cutover is made from SABRE.
As Alice said, aircraft painting is coming along pretty well with emphasis on getting the HP fleet painted. I guess about 1/2 of them are painted. A relative smattering of the US mainline fleet is painted, but they already say US Airways on the side. This is one area where they've made pretty good progress since a year ago there were no mainline planes in the new livery.

My 2 cents, which is worth exactly what you're paying for it?Ok so reading this I wonder how effectively the buying of Dl would be.
